Sunrise Over Baja Terminal 2

Baja remained green as we returned from Barriles to the airport near Cabo, Terminal 2. Alaska Airlines and many of the other Airlines are moving into terminal 2. Although the doors are open, Terminal 2 is still just a shell of an airport with one eatery, Subway. The line can be 50 yards long as you watch sandwiches go out the window and ‘delay’ signs go up on flights. Of course the eastern storms have a lot to do with it. There are other shops purposed to open, but not yet. The bathrooms were cleanJ.After screening passengers walk through the duty free shops and onto the gates. Sitting center stage is a horse shoe bar surrounded by four top tables and a Television lounge where soccer and American Football take time away. Above at the north east side of the terminal is an eerie private club with no lights on and just a silhouette of a bar to be.
Gate attendants squawk out flights and gates then hop on the radio to tell other employees walking through the seated crowd again calling for passengers to throw down their last pesos and get to their gate; US dollars and cards are accepted as well. Change often returns in pesos.
Via Seattle I return to Alaska. It’s 20 degrees Fahrenheit with a light dusting of snow on the ground.

Happy Holidays to you all.http://davidcdagley.com
