Mickey's Halloween Party 2011

If you've ever wanted to witness several thousands of people attempting to collect $49 - $64 worth of free candy, then have I got the party for you!

This past Friday, the fine folks of the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim invited Lee, Aubrey and me to attend Mickey's Halloween Party at Disneyland for the second year in a row. We had SO much fun last year and this year was even more fun because Aubrey was old enough and brave enough to go on some of the scarier rides!

She wore her Michael Jackson costume (sans homemade sparkly glove & wig - too much hassle on the rides) and we went on tons of rides including the Haunted Mansion Holiday, Mr Toad's Wild Ride, the teacups, the Matterhorn, Pinocchio, Peter Pan, Dumbo and more and of course, Aubrey had to see the Captain EO movie!
MJ, I mean Aubrey, all ready to Rock The Night Away!
There are only eight more nights to attend Mickey's Halloween Party and it is a separately ticketed event during the evening/night time hours. You'll be treated to a special Mickey's Costume Party Cavalcade parade, photo opps with Disney characters in their Halloween garb, and a really kick-ass Halloween fireworks display. They have also added scary elements to Space Mountain and there are two really fun dance parties with characters which Aubrey really enjoyed.
Aubs Shakes Her Body Down at Buzz Lightyear's  Intergalactic Space Jam!

The best part of all was the Trick-Or-Treat Trails. Throughout the park there are candy stations and when you check in you get a huge bag to collect as much as you want. And the people handing out the treats were very generous too - handfuls at each stop! Oh and there are raisins, carrots and apple slices in addition to the candy so you can eat one of those and then feel justified in downing a pound of peanut butter cups. We now have so much candy at our house...we should be put out of our misery. I'm expecting love letters from our dentist to start arriving any day now.
LOTS of candy, people. Lots.
Check event details, dates and prices here and I would suggest buying tickets in advance. The night we were there it did sell out! Get those costumes on and have a great time!

Tis the season to put things on ice and I've seen lots of stuff on ice... Smurfs, Christmas, Vanilla.... but nothing is better than Disney characters on ice. Last year we took Aubrey to Disney On Ice "Let's Celebrate" and she went so ape sh*t for it, she STILL wants to read the program as a bed time book, a year later. So when I told her there was a new Disney On Ice show, well, monkey poo flew. She's a little excited. Just a little.
This year we will be treated to our favorite Toy Story characters, Woody, Jesse, the Potato Heads, Buzz Lightyear, Ken and Barbie as they tell the story of installment #3. Aubrey loves these characters and I know I can't wait to see a horse, a t-rex and a pig on skates. Really, how do they do that?
Disney-Pixar's Toy Story 3 On Ice will be touring all over the US this winter starting this week through April 2012. If you live in WA, CO, NV, AZ, UT, FL, KY SC or the best state in the country... CALIFORNIA, you are lucky people. The show is coming to you!

People keep asking me if I'm ready for some football and you know what? No. I'll only ever be ready for football to end. Zzzzzz... but this holiday season, Aubrey, Lee and I are continuing an annual tradition of attending a Disney On Ice show which is something we all enjoy. It really is fun, even as an adult, and nothing is better than watching a preschooler's face light up with pure joy and wonder at the spectacle of gigantic costumed people doing flips and triple axels. Honestly, I think they should make character costumed figure skating an Olympic event because I have no idea how those people skate AND do tricks in those get ups. No idea. I couldn't even walk in those costumes. Anyhoo...
I promised you a discount code a few weeks ago and code I shall give you!

Use code word MOM when you buy tickets online, over the phone or even at the box office and receive $4 off per ticket on the $16, $21, $26 priced tickets. You can also buy a family four pack for only $48! That's a pretty good deal. :)

Aubrey and I had a BLAST at Disney's Toy Story On Ice 3 last Wednesday. Aubrey was honored to be invited as a VIP guest in support of the Children's Hospital Los Angeles and Toys For Tots! Aubrey did the red carpet, skated with the characters and had a great time watching the show. I still have NO idea how those people skate in those giant costumes. Amazing.

If you are interested in attending Disney's Toy Story On Ice 3 or any of the other Disney On Ice shows across the country, visit: http://disney.go.com/disneyonice/ to find a show near you!
SO excited for the show to begin!

Happy 2012 Everyone!

Sorry I've been blog remiss, but the holidays really did get the best of me in the most wonderful kind of way. Now we are in FULL swing back to work and it's awards season, to boot. Modern Family has been nominated as Best Ensemble Cast for a SAG Award and Golden Globe. Crazy. Awesome. Exciting. Surreal.

In a moment of normalcy around the house tonight, Aubrey started telling me about the haunted house at Universal Studios. Her dad takes her there a lot because they got season passes and apparently there is a Frankenstein character who walks around the park and goofs around with people waiting in ride lines. Aubrey has been led to believe, or more likely has made up in her 4yr old mind, that Frankenstein is in the haunted house.

Initially, she was TERRIFIED of old Frank. Screaming and crying every time she saw him, but my little turkey has a long history (well, ok about 3 years) of facing her fears head on. She does this on her own and we didn't teach her to do this. It's in her nature. When she's afraid of something, she obsesses over it until she desensitizes herself and eventually, grows to love the former fear. Essentially, she's her own psychotherapist which, in the long run, should save me a fortune.
Sally The Snake Cake! I made it. Woot!
Last year it was snakes after a reptile guy came to her preschool. She obsessed over snakes so much she decided to have a snake themed birthday party and now, the fear is old news.

Tonight, she started rambling on and on and on about Frankenstein, which is nothing unusual these days. The desensitization process involves talking endlessly about the subject. But I heard her say something that was too good not to capture on video - for future bribery and humiliation. Maybe at her graduation party or wedding reception. I bet her prom date will like this too. God being a parent in the digital age is great:

Tyrant & Despot: N.Y.C Mayor Bloomberg's Assault on Volunteerism Was Coordinated by Government Thugs in Washington D.C.

To contact us Click HERE

Although I explored their local activism first hand (by actually showing up with an armed militia group), I'm no big fan of the radically left wing Occupy Movement. Despite my opinions, this volunteer group managed to do positive things for distressed storm victims. They set up a multitude of services that clothed and fed the needy in the wake of devastating Hurricane Sandy.

The "Occupiers" behavior following Hurricane Sandy was a sharp contrast from what most of us observed during their months long protests across the country that resulted in crime, rampant drug use and squalid conditions in city parks across the nation. They stepped up during a time of need and deserve some respect for that.

They also performed well above and beyond the capabilities of the US Government's FEMA. It would appear that this group's demonstrated ability has not gone unnoticed. Now, the tyrants representing big government have gone on the offensive.

Mayor Bloomberg Orders Raid on Occupy Sandy Disaster Relief Shelter

In the response to hurricane Sandy, Occupy Wall Street supporters have shown that voluntary, decentralized mutual aid is far more effective than government programs and agencies like FEMA.

This strategy is so effective and makes the government look so incompetent and obsolete that it is no surprise that they are showing this kind of force to preserve the false legitimacy of their monopolies. Full Story

Mayor Bloomberg is exhibiting characteristics of a sadistic psychopath and impotent tyrant. I'm fairly certain that he's taking orders from his Zionist masters. Ideally, a few mental health professionals should have this insane lunatic involuntarily committed for psychiatric observation.

Justice Dept: Homeland Security Advised Raids On Occupy Wall Street Camps

President Obama's "position" regarding the NYPD's raid of Zuccotti Park, is that "every municipality has to make its own decision about how to handle" the issues of free speech and the concerns of the community. But according to Rick Ellis at the Examiner, a Justice Department official says that the recent evictions of Occupy movement across the country including Salt Lake City, Denver, Portland, Oakland, and New York City were "coordinated with help from Homeland Security, the FBI and other federal police agencies." Full Story

In the comment section, Lazio_Giggalo said, "President Obama say it ain't so! We were your base in the election! You threw OWS, Freedom of Speech, Freedom of the Press under the bus to the Rioting NYPD! We voted for you and gave us hope that night in Chicago! Mr. President you failed us! The millions of people who looked for change that you promised the Hope that turned into dispare, foreclosed right before our eyes!..." There you have it boys and girls. Plenty of voter remorse a few weeks after the election.

For most decent Americans, helping others in the time of need comes natural. People want to help. It appears obvious to me that big (Zionist) government sees this as a threat to the new status quo, that being total servitude to and dependence on big brother government. Our government has been operating so far outside the limits of the Constitution that it will never be able to get back to acting lawfully.

Keith Olbermann Condemns Michael Bloomberg, Occupy Wall Street Raid (VIDEO)

But Olbermann wasn't finished. He went on to call Bloomberg a "cliché," an "archetype," a "cartoon" and a "putz," and labelled him the "most irreplaceable man" to the Occupy protesters. The mayor's raid, he said, had taken a movement that was "beginning to grow a little stale" and made it relevant again. "No such a living and breathing embodiment of all that is wrong and all that is stupid in the establishment of this country could be ordered up from fiction," he said. Full Story

Mayor Bloomberg Explains His Decision to Raid Occupy Wall Street

As a group of approximately 40 Occupy Wall Street demonstrators chanted outside, Mayor Bloomberg held a press conference at City Hall to discuss the NYPD raid on the protest encampment in Zuccotti Park. Mayor Bloomberg said the decision to clear the area was made in response the wishes of the park’s owners, Brookfield Properties, and his own concerns bout criminal activity and hygiene in the camp. He also said about 200 protesters were arrested during the clearing of the park. Full Story

Mayor Bloomberg initially said, "...we didn't need help from FEMA". As a direct result, thousands of Hurricane Sandy survivors went without any assistance, whatsoever. Why did Bloomberg crackdown on the media? It was to "protect" them ... apparently from exercising their First Amendment Constitutional rights. This is all part of the "Central Committee's" plan of domination of the masses. More

Bloomberg’s disgraceful eviction of Occupy Wall Street

As hard as the NYPD and New York City’s government might try to obscure the truth though, one truth remains: At 1 a.m. this morning, in the heart of New York City, protesters exercising their constitutional rights to free speech and assembly were swept away by the state, while that state also did all it could to prevent media coverage. No matter what one may think of the occupiers or their cause, nothing they’ve done justifies blockading the press or ignoring court orders. Full Story

“I'm a 9th generation American and patriot (1737). My forefathers served in the Pennsylvania Militia. On June 27, 1781, they were called upon to perform a tour of duty. I'm still protecting freedom and securing the border, 275 years later.” --Harry L Hughes III

Our degenerate culture has us circling the drain, mental health, television tantrums and what it's like to be thrown under Obama's bus

To contact us Click HERE

What's bothersome, is the degenerate culture we've been forced to live in. I's disturbing how people talk and act, how they behave, the things that are permitted to be done in public. On top of that, add the filth passed off as entertainment in music and television. The lack of morals in everyday life. An ever rising number of people think there should be no consequences for their poor "business decisions." Well, it doesn't matter what they think. The bubble is bursting.

The brainless masses simply go along with the shit culture like there's nothing wrong with it, yet they get all shocked, bothered and all bent out of shape when something bad happens. Its a reflection of the decorum we have in our society. As our nation and culture continues to deteriorate, there will be more to come. We can give many thanks to Hollywood and the Zio-media for this descending path we're walking.

In 1957, there were over 500,000+ people institutionalized in state mental facilities and we had reasonable involuntary commitment laws. We had no modern "gun control" laws. You could buy an inexpensive M1 Carbine through the mail. along with all the 30 round magazines you wanted, yet mass random shootings rarely happened.

Was 1957 America a police state? Answer: No! Doctors and judges made the decision of who would remain committed to mental institutions and they could not be released until they were no longer a threat to self or a public threat. People still had the rights to a lawyer and judge to prove your sanity and get out if there was no basis for the decision.

Today, we have emptied and closed the state mental institutions, created the ever increasing homeless population, made involuntary commitment impossible until after you commit a crime and then, try and place the blame on firearms for the actions of the mental cases that freely roam our streets.

Jared Laughner's parents tried to get him help at least twice but were turned down for lack of insurance. Neighbors said he would ride around on his bike talking to himself. His school said he was unbalanced. In the past, he would have been institutionalized long before he shot Gabby Giffords, based on his obvious mental illness.

In 2007, Virginia Tech instructors said Seung-Hui Cho was "unbalanced." In the past, he would have been institutionalized, based on his obvious unstable behavior. In Aurora, Colorado, James Holmes' college psychiatrist was so alarmed by his questionable behavior that she had him banned from the campus, but nothing else. No further action was taken or deemed necessary. If this were the 1950's, she could have had him involuntarily committed, before he hurt anyone.

What was even the point of him trying to get help from the psychiatrist, when all she did was ban him from the school? Even Charles Whitman ( 1966,University of Texas, Austin), the first of these crazed shooters warned authorities beforehand by seeking help from Texas University's school psychiatrist, repeatedly. He had severe migraine headaches and extreme anger that he knew was irrational. It turned out that he had a brain tumor, discovered after his death, following an autopsy. Whitman told his psychiatrist he was fantasizing about shooting people from the tower.

If his school psychiatrist had done his job in a responsible fashion, he would have received the help he sought. To this day, the University of Texas refuses to release all of Charles Whitman's medical records, claiming the deceased's "right to privacy." Obviously, the school doesn't want to face a lawsuit.

Newtown, CT- Adam Lanza's mother was alleged to be so scared of her son, she told babysitters not to turn their backs on him, even if they went to the bathroom, Without committing a crime, involuntary commitment is virtually impossible and there is no where to send him. Forty years ago, he would have been institutionalized in a state mental institution, based on his behavior. Do you know where the largest state mental institution in Connecticut is? Answer: Newtown. Its been closed for decades! This is NOT a "gun control" issue!

Gun homicides and gun ownership listed by country

The Small Arms Survey is also useful - although it is from 2007, it collates civilian gun ownership rates for 178 countries around the world, and has 'normalised' the data to include a rate per 100,000 population. Full Article

If the rate of gun ownership is determinant of the gun murder rate, how does one explain the gun ownership rates in Mexico (15 guns /100k and 9.97 murders/100k) and Jamaica (8.1 guns/100k and 39.4 murders /100K) and the very high firearms related murder rates? Guatemala has a gun ownership rate of 13.1/100k and a murder rate of 34/100k. The US has 88.8 guns/100k and 2.97 murders/100k.

And while we're on the subject of firearms ownership and the mentally disturbed...The alternate title to the Hannity story could have been: "Anti-gun rights spokesman throws childish tantrum on national TV."

'Hannity' Guest Becomes so Furious That He Literally Covers His Ears & Refuses to Respond During Heated Gun Rights Debate.

From there, the conversation became increasingly-heated, with Terrell raising his voice and attempting to rail against his conservative opponents. Sekulow noted that background checks are required in all 50 states — provisions that sometimes protect against mentally-unstable individuals securing firearms. Rather than protecting lives, Sekulow dismissed Terrell’s claim that publishing the names and addresses is a good idea; instead, he said such action impedes the rights of gun owners. To you Obama voters out there: Are you beginning to feel as though you have been thrown under the bus? Did Obama's bus back up and run over you again? Didn't see it coming, did ya? Well, it's time to pay the piper. Everybody's going to have to put something in the kitty.

CURL: Obama supporters shocked, angry at new tax increases
